Welcome to my version of the 5e SRD. I started coding a spell database, for my personal use, before Wizards of the Coast released the System Reference Document (SRD) for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition so I decided to expand my work to include the rest of it (and modify my original database to just show SRD spells). Things were going well until the last week of February when I was made redundant. This website took a back seat while I looked for a new job. I was, fairly, lucky and found something within a couple of months, but it wasn’t until a few months after that that I was able to get back to this website. My free time is a little limited now but I’ve worked on bits here and there (including a bit of a design facelift) over the last couple of months and now feel ready to say “It’s finished!”
I realise that, due to the delay, I’m not the only person to have created a 5e SRD website but I do believe that this is the best version out there. It’s been designed from the ground up to be fully responsive—looking as good on your phone as it does on your tablet or computer.
If you spot any mistakes please let me know through the contact page and I’ll get them sorted as soon as possible. Likewise, if you would like to suggest an addition to the links and resources page, feel free.
In the meantime, I wish you happy adventuring. May your dice be lucky…
1 July 2018: Complete redesign to make the website faster and easier to navigate. Also now incorporates a selection of articles and resources of use to all D&D players and DMs.
27 June 2017: Removed Carrion Crawler from list of monsters as it was included in error. Thanks to Jamie Chambers for spotting this and apologies to him for the inconvenience.
11 January 2017: Added SSL to the website for better security. You can now also add the website to your mobile home screen and it will run within it’s own Web View app (tested on Android/Chrome).
19 October 2016: An offline version of this SRD is now available and can be downloaded from the Links/Resources page (currently offline due to site redesign).
24 September 2016: Print friendly CSS added by special request of my DM! Now if you print a page the navigation, header and footer are automatically hidden so you just get the important content. Perfect for monster stats and spells (currently offline due to site redesign).
14 September 2016: Magic Items added and design facelift (with revised navigation and search engine).
9 August 2016: Monsters, Creatures and NPCs added.
17 February 2106: Majority of player’s side of SRD added.
9 February 2016: Initial website launch. Just containing the spells database.
